Alan Lacke

Alan Lacke is a Cuban visual artist and graduate of Graphic Arts in Havana, where he studied under painter Ernesto García Peña and sculptor Eduardo Díaz Piñeiro. Since 2015, his practice has focused primarily on abstract art, combining spontaneous gesture with careful research, structure, and composition.

Drawing inspiration from science, mathematics, history, natural systems, and cosmic energy, Lacke explores the hidden relationships that shape the world around us. His creative process often begins with a detailed study of line, movement, and gesture, using these fundamental elements to build a sense of rhythm, balance, and universal order.

Color plays an equally important role in his work, acting as an emotional language that creates atmosphere and invites a personal response from the viewer. Through abstraction, Lacke searches for what exists beyond the visible surface, the essence, energy, and spirit behind forms and experiences.

His paintings encourage moments of stillness and contemplation, inviting viewers to slow down, observe, and experience art on a more intuitive and almost mystical level.
