Carol Bednarski
Carol Bednarski is a self-taught abstract and impressionist painter based in Victoria on Vancouver Island, Canada. Working primarily in acrylic on canvas, she creates vibrant landscapes, seascapes, florals, and abstract compositions inspired by the natural beauty of the West Coast.
Her intuitive process begins with color, line, texture, and movement, allowing each painting to gradually reveal its own mood and direction. Using brushes, palette knives, scraping, wiping, and layered paint, Bednarski balances spontaneity with thoughtful refinement to create richly expressive surfaces.
Her work has been exhibited in galleries and featured internationally, including recognition from Shota Bagaturia of the Beka Museum and inclusion in Art New York Magazine. Through her paintings, Bednarski explores beauty, emotion, and connection, creating works that invite viewers to discover their own stories within each composition.
